Las Vegas Distillery

Bar & Lounge, Henderson

Listed Researched from public sources.

Henderson grain-to-glass distillery founded in 2011 and reopened in 2024 by Rob Saucier: bourbon, gin, vodka, rums, tours and a 1950s-style tasting room.

When George Racz opened Las Vegas Distillery in 2011, the kind of business he wanted to run barely had a legal footing in Nevada. He wrote the draft of the state’s craft distillery bill, which became law in 2013, and his Eastgate Road still house became the anchor of Henderson’s artisan Booze District, alongside craft breweries, a winery and a meadery. Racz died in 2018, and the distillery sat closed for about two years.

A second life

Rob Saucier bought the business in July 2022. Henderson City Lifestyle describes the valley as his adopted home of more than 25 years. The new owners closed the place for a floor-to-ceiling renovation, upgraded almost all of the production equipment while keeping Racz’s original stills, imported from Germany, and gutted the tasting room. It reopened to the public in June 2024 with an 88-seat room styled after Las Vegas in the 1950s and ’60s, serving cocktails, food and live entertainment. Most of the cocktail list changes with the seasons.

Grain to glass under one roof

Milling, cooking, fermenting, distilling, aging and bottling all happen on site. The current lineup:

  • Straight bourbon: 75 percent corn, 15 percent rye and 10 percent malted barley, aged at least two years
  • Gin: London dry style, distilled with lemon and grapefruit peel
  • Cane & Grain Vodka: hard white winter wheat and Louisiana cane sugar, triple distilled
  • Rums: white, spiced, dark and a 126-proof overproof, made from molasses and cane sugar in copper pot stills
  • Coffee liqueur: made with Colombian beans roasted and cold brewed by Dark Moon Coffee Roasters in Henderson

Bottles can be bought online for curbside pickup. Since late 2025 the spirits have also been poured at about 25 local bars and restaurants and sold at Lee’s Discount Liquor, Khoury’s Fine Wine & Spirits and The Cask.

Taking the tour

The 45-minute tour runs Wednesday through Sunday. It opens with a welcome cocktail, covers distilling’s history in Las Vegas, walks the production floor past the grains and botanicals, and ends with a tasting. Desert Companion listed it at $25 in February 2026, with locals paying half.

Tasting room hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m.; Friday, 3 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 2 to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday are reserved for private events. Happy hour is 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Check the calendar for special closures.
