Start with the cupcake case
The daily cupcake menu at Caked Las Vegas runs to about twenty flavors, and several are built like small desserts. The Strawberry Shortcake is filled with strawberry mousse and topped with whipped cream and shortcake crumbles. The Red Hostess is red velvet dipped in chocolate ganache. El Churro gets a piece of fresh churro on top, and the Salted Caramel pairs dulce de leche cake with pink Himalayan salt. Vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free cupcakes are made too, with flavors depending on the day.
Cakes built to order
Wedding, kids and quinceañera cakes are designed around the customer's theme, shape, color and size. The flavor list goes well past vanilla and chocolate to guava, passion fruit, matcha, honey and apple pie, with fillings from champagne buttercream and Bavarian cream to lemon curd and dulce de leche. Quote requests for cakes, cupcakes and dessert trays go through forms on the bakery's website.

The people behind it

The business dates to 2016 and took over the West Lake Mead Boulevard space that once housed the Cupcakery. Carats & Cake lists it as a preferred cake vendor for Tao Group Hospitality and JW Marriott Las Vegas, and a sponsor of Pride Las Vegas.
Hours: Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bakery notes that hours can change.
