Marco Prestia founded Madhouse Coffee in 2010 at the corner of Desert Inn and Durango as a 24-hour independent coffee house — still the only one of its kind in Las Vegas, per UNLV’s student paper. Madhouse Coffee at 8470 West Desert Inn Road layers gourmet sandwiches, in-house-baked croissants and tiramisu, hookah service, and free Wi-Fi onto a coffee-house framework that runs around the clock. The Eastern Avenue location operates under separate ownership and is not affiliated with the Desert Inn flagship.
