Positive Changes Dog Training

The Better Business Bureau lists Robert and Nicole Pablico as the owner-operators of Positive Changes Dog Training, Inc., a Henderson company it shows starting in 2019 and accredited since December of that year. Customers on the shop's site call him Bobby. Training happens indoors at 644 E Horizon Drive, which the site says keeps lessons from depending on the weather in a Henderson summer.

What you can sign up for

• Puppy Essentials: starts as early as 10 weeks and suits any puppy under six months, with sit, place and come as the first commands
• Private lessons: one-on-one with a trainer at flexible times, built around your dog's breed, personality and your routine
• Group classes: open once private lessons are finished, which the site calls "where the magic happens"; a class schedule is on the website
• Behavior work: jumping, chewing, barking, pulling and aggression

How a first visit goes

The site offers a free consultation, which it values at $125. Before it recommends a plan, the shop says it looks at the dog's emotional state, then ties the plan to the owner's goals and to how manageable the dog is at home. "Our trainers are not dictators," the training page says, and it describes the work as a collaboration in which the dog's input counts. The website also says its trainers have more than a decade of experience and that it has worked with over 2,000 clients. One review on the site mentions follow-up help after the lessons end.
