Desert Shine Window Cleaning

Doug and Danyel Compton reopened Desert Shine Window Cleaning in 2019, using their wedding-gift money to pay for equipment, licenses and insurance. That is the story on the company’s About page, which also traces the business to Doug’s family.

A family business with a gap in the middle

According to the About page, Douglas Compton Jr. started the business in 2001. Douglas Compton III, who learned the trade working alongside his father through high school, took over in 2006 when his father retired. The business closed in 2011 after the market crash. The page says demand picked up in 2020 as people worked from home and tackled home projects. The company calls itself “a locally owned family operated business.”

What Desert Shine cleans

• Residential windows, inside and out, with screen repair and solar-screen cleaning
• Power washing for driveways, sidewalks and rooftops
• Solar panel cleaning with a water-fed pole system and reverse-osmosis water
• Commercial window cleaning, with monthly or quarterly service

The website says the crew is “honest, licensed and insured,” and that it works with realtors “all over the valley.” Those are the company’s own statements; no license record was available to check them against.

The website lists hours of 7 AM to 7 PM. To ask for a quote, call 725-208-7445 or use the contact form on the website. The 725 area code is Las Vegas’s overlay for the 702 area.

Commercial customers can ask about the monthly or quarterly schedule. For any job, say which surfaces are involved: glass, screens, concrete or panels.
