A customer finds a local business they like. In the footer, they notice a 702 Alliance badge and follow it to more independent businesses around the valley. That is the idea: give our neighbors another way to discover the people working here.
What the badge stands for
702 Alliance brings together locally owned businesses and the people behind them. We publish profiles and owner stories, welcome corrections, and help businesses get to know one another. No chains, membership dues, or paid lead packages. Our goal is 702 local businesses choosing to display the badge.
The badge is a sign of participation in this community. It is not a license, an accreditation, a customer review score, or a guarantee of someone’s work. A directory listing alone does not mean its owner has joined or installed a badge.
Optional means optional
Your free profile and owner spotlight do not depend on putting anything on your website. You are welcome to participate, request changes, or ask us to remove your listing. There is no fee waiting at the next step.
A straightforward link, with straightforward rules
Our badge code explicitly qualifies its link for search engines rather than presenting it as an ordinary ranking endorsement. We do not ask businesses to trade ranking credit, add keyword-stuffed links, or promise higher search rankings. The badge is there for visitors who want to explore the community.
Google’s link-spam guidance addresses links created to manipulate rankings, including distributed widget links. Keeping the badge optional, qualifying its link, and publishing useful coverage independently are deliberate parts of how we operate. A badge does not guarantee search or AI visibility.
We will help you add it
Send us your website address and ask for the badge. We will check which website editor you use and send short instructions with the code. You can forward them to your web person, or call Cody and work through it together.
